Final Reflection

For my first year of teaching, I feel that things went very well. There were many things that ran smoothly and there were many obstacles that I overcame. I believe my biggest struggle for the year was the fact that I was beginning a brand new program. There was no one that was able to give me advice about the program or pass along helpful information. However there were so many people supporting me and doing everything possible to guide me through. Everything that I accomplished throughout the year was through trial and error and learning through my mistakes. I look forward to beginning a new year where I have exprience and know what to expect. Another difficult task for the year was lesson planning. I look forward to making positive changes to my lesson plans and using new ideas that I came across throughout the year. I believe that with the experiences I have had, I can only make myself as a teacher better.

Professional Development was a great time for me to reflect on my teaching, strategies, and lessons. Having the opportunity to share my thoughts and experiences with others was comforting. It was nice to know that there were other people that were experiencing the same struggles as I. I can't believe that the end of the year is so near, and I've almost completed my entire first year as a teacher. I look forward to the start of a new year where I'll have fresh ideas to help keep my students motivated and excited to learn :)
